Can you tell me about the features offered for the Grand Cherokee?
There are a total of seven trim levels offered to drivers when choosing a Grand Cherokee. The base model, Laredo, comes well-outfitted with features like a six-speaker sound system, automatic dual-zone climate control, parking sensors, keyless entry and ignition, smartphone integration, and so much more! The upper trims come with a larger touchscreen, power liftgate, leather upholstery, xenon headlights, heated front and rear seats, chrome exterior trim, a 19-speaker premium sound system, and more. Jeep outfits the Trailhawk for off-roading and the SRT and Trackhawk trims for performance driving.
What about the engine options?
Four engines and one transmission make up the powertrain lineup offered for the Grand Cherokee in the 2021 model year. The standard engine is a 295 hp 3.6-liter V6 that produces 260 lb-ft of torque. Optional for the Summit, Overland, and Trailhawk trim levels is a 360 hp 5.7-liter V8 that generates 390 lb-ft of torque. The next two engines offered are trim level exclusive. Housed within the SRT is a 470 hp 6.4-liter V8 that creates 475 lb-ft of torque. The most powerful engine in the lineup is housed under the hood of the Trackhawk. This 707 hp 6.2-liter supercharged V8 cranks out 645 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is paired with all engines. V6 powered models come with RWD and 4WD is available while V8 powered models come with standard 4WD.
Could you talk about the driver assistance features found throughout the lineup?
From the track to the trails and the highway in between, the Grand Cherokee has safety at the forefront of the adventure with a host of standard features. Each model comes equipped with rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and rear parking sensors as well as a standard rearview camera. The upper trims add to that list with parallel parking assist, lane departure warning, forward collision mitigation, and adaptive cruise control. Each Grand Cherokee model is also outfitted with a suite of advanced airbags that act as another layer of protection in the event of a collision.
