Trims of the RAM 1500

Written by Century Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM

RAM continues to dominate the competition thanks to its outstanding driving dynamics, a unique rear suspension, and a gorgeous interior with all the latest technological equipment. Truck duties are no problem for the RAM 1500 either as it is among the class leaders in towing and hauling capability. Engine choices include a 3.6-liter V6 and the tried and true 5.7-liter V8. Last year, RAM introduced a mild-hybrid eTorque system that improves the fuel economy as well as the smoothness of the engine stop-start system. New this year is a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, which allows the RAM to tow up to an impressive 12,560 pounds. Inside the cockpit is where the RAM 1500 shines as it comes with high-quality seats and a bright and easy to use touchscreen. Seven trim levels are available for the RAM 1500, and each one comes with a ton of features. Continue reading as we go over each one.

Tradesman

Starting the RAM trim lineup is the Tradesman, which comes with a choice of either a 3.6-liter V6 that pumps out 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque or a 5.7-liter V8 the has 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. With the V6, you get an eTorque system that comes standard and improves the fuel economy, which is an option on the V8. The final engine is a 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel that makes 280 horsepower and an astounding 480 lb-ft of torque. All of these engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which is smooth as silk. Features wise, the Tradesman comes with 18-inch steel wheels, a 5-inch touchscreen, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and push-button start. Also included are trailer sway damping and a six-speaker stereo.
