When the new model year rolls around, you can’t help but be curious as to what exactly has been changed to the vehicles that you love so much. Well, we’re happy to tell you that the 2021 Jeep Wrangler has received a few additions, but not a single one has taken away from the style and capability that you’ve come to expect. One of the biggest changes is the 4xe plug-in hybrid version that is going to be available later on this year. This model is going to be bringing electric power into the Jeep lineup! Other additions in 2021 include new special editions, and even an optional forward-facing camera that is especially helpful for off-roading. Keep reading down below to find out more information about the 2021 Jeep Wrangler.

THE BADGE SAYS IT ALL

TRACTION

Traction is all about transferring engine power to the ground. The Rock-Trac® 4x4 System is available in both Full-Time 4x4 and Part-Time 4x4. It gives you impressive control and More Torque Than Any Other Wrangler Generation for unbeatable off-road performance.

MANEUVERABILITY

Easily maneuver tight, treacherous trails or navigate around rocks or fallen logs with precision steering systems and high-performance wheelbases.

WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED

NO GUESSWORK

The new selectable Tire Fill Alert System takes the guesswork out of filling up and airing down your tires. When you fill up, the system chirps the horn at the recommended pressure. When you air down, it chirps at your pre-selected pressure.

ADVENTURE AT THE PUSH OF A BUTTON

With a push of the button, you can adjust throttle, transmission shift points and traction control for peak performance on higher speed passes on sand dunes or low-speed rock crawling. The Off-Road+ button comes standard on Jeep® Wrangler Rubicon.

OFF-ROAD LEGEND

THE BIGGER THE BETTER

The Rubicon gets ample ground clearance thanks to 33-inch all-terrain tires. They offer a larger surface area than regular tires for maximum traction and control on the off-road.

BREAK THE BOUNDARIES

When the dashboard-mounted sway bar switch is pushed, the Electronic Sway Bar Disconnect system remotely disconnects your sway bar so the front wheels can drop and compress, improving suspension articulation on tough terrain.

TECHNOLOGY CUSTOM FIT FOR YOU

READY TO ROAM

The available Uconnect® 4C NAV with 8.4-inch touchscreen and Navigation helps guide you to where you need to go, including ATMs, restaurants and more.

IPHONE® ON-BOARD

Take your iPhone® on the road with Apple CarPlay® support. The system brings your contacts, favorite audio apps, Apple Maps and more on board all through the Uconnect® system.

STAY CONNECTED

SEARCH, SEND, GO

Available Send & Go™ lets you search for locations and points of interest on your smartphone and then transfers the information to your Uconnect® system so you can hop in and go.

READY BEFORE YOU ARE

Available Remote Vehicle Start lets you start your Wrangler from afar, so you can warm it up or cool it down to your last selected temperature before getting in.

What is the engine lineup?

One of the most important aspects of any vehicle comes in the form of the engine that you’ll find underneath the hood. That is why we want to start by pointing out what engine options you can choose from with the 2021 Wrangler. The very first engine we want to mention is the standard 3.6-liter V6, which generates 285 horsepower and up to 260 pound-feet of torque. Paired with this engine is a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. You’ll also be able to choose from a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine which can produce around 270 horsepower, and a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine that creates 260 horsepower. Don’t forget about the plug-in hybrid powertrain that arrives midway through the model year! There’s something for everyone with this SUV.

What are a few trim options?

When it comes to really getting a vehicle that meets all of your needs, you’ll want to take a closer look at the trim lineup that you are able to choose from. With the 2021 Wrangler, you’ll most likely drive home in one of four main trims. The base trim, which is called Sport, comes with fog lights, a five-inch touchscreen display, skid plates, crank windows, tow hooks, and 17-inch steel wheels. Another option here is Sport S, which adds features on top of the Sport model like tinted windows, alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, power windows and door locks, and air conditioning. The most luxurious model is Sahara, which throws in automatic climate control, a 7-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a body-colored grille, and body-colored fender flares.

What safety features are available?

You will be able to find safety features added on throughout the Wrangler lineup. Some of the most impressive features include rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, and a ParkView rear back-up camera. No matter the trim or the features you’re looking for, you and your passengers can stay safe with the 2021 Jeep Wrangler.
